Veezil

A piece of Mortasheen fanart that was started probably at least a year ago, of this delightful creature (one of my favorite) by Scythemantis here: fav.me/dwmols
Not long after I drew it, though, Veezil actually revieved a redesign: www.bogleech.com/mortasheen/ve…
Funnily enough, my own design coincidentally seems almost like a halfway between the two.
Maybe (I hope) both the old and new Veezils are accurate portrayals of different morphs of the monster; perhaps the original is one bred for optimal battle efficiency, with its compact shape and strategically distributed spines, while the new one could be a monster show model, with aesthetically pleasing rather than ideally functional proportions. Perhaps that would make my design a feral morph, exhibiting the most survival-favoring traits.
